57 KG

In a pivotal matchup in the domestic rankings, 2018 61 KG world bronze medalist Joe Colon took out Bill Farrell Memorial Invitational Champion Seth Gross at Beat the Streets. At Junior Russian Nationals, 2019 Alans bronze medalist #20 Alexander Sabanov of Russia was defeated in the 61 KG finals to the controversial Fedor Baltuev. For this, Sabanov is removed from the 57 KG rankings as he has been at 61 KG since the beginning of the year where he competed at the North Caucasian Federal District where he lost to runner-up Tamerlan Karaev and now at junior russian nationals where he lost to Fedor Baltuev. For his win over Sabanov, Baltuev debuts at #20 in the 61 KG rankings. Winning junior russian nationals at 57 KG was returning bronze medalist Magomed Abdurakhmanov who defeated 2019 Junior European champion Nachyin Mongush.

61 KG

Fedor Baltuev enters the rankings at #20 after a win in the junior Russian national finals against 57 KG Alans bronze medalist #20 (57) Alexander Sabanov of Russia. No other changes occurred. #8 Kezhik Chimba finished bronze at the Siberian Federal District up at 65 KG, while the weight was won by Usman Shakgireev.

65 KG

#19 Vladimir Khinchegashvili of Georgia defeated #16 Yianni Diakomihalis of the United States in the main event of the beat the streets. For this, the 2016 57 KG Olympic champ Khinchegashvili moves up two spots to #17 behind European championships bronze medalist Ali Rahimzade who beat Vlad at Euros, while Yianni drops two spots to #18. Winning Russian Junior nationals was returning 61 KG world bronze medalist Alik Khadartsev who defeated Yuri Arakelian in the finals.

70 KG

In the leadup to his MMA debut, 2x Russian Nationals bronze medalist (2014&’16) Murad Nukhadiev of Russia notched two very impressive wins over the likes of #15 (65) Sayin Kazyryk and 2019 Russian Nationals bronze medalist Julian Gergenov to win the Siberian Federal District. Being that Nukhadiev is soon to debut in MMA and unlikely to compete regularly, and both Gergenov and Kazyryk will continue to compete at 65 KG, I am not placing any of them in the 65 KG rankings. Winning junior Russian Nationals was returning world bronze medalist Alan Kudzoev. #2 Israil Kasumov moved up to 74 KG where he won the Siberian Federal District over Nikolay Donzalenko.

74 KG

In a battle of 2x world champs, #2 Kyle Dake of the United States defeated #4 Frank Chamizo of Italy at Beat The Streets. Winning Junior Russian Nationals was Magomed Abdulkadyrov. Notching the biggest win of his career after having won the U.S. Open in December, Logan Massa defeated #14 Bekzod Abdurakhmanov in the NLWC RTC dual meet. Coming back to the 74 KG rankings is #2 (70) Israil Kasumov who won the SIberian Federal District and slots in at #13. #16 Nikita Suchkov won the Siberian Federal District up at 79 KG where he is now ranked 5th after defeating #10 Dmitri Zainidiinov 6-1 in the finals.

79

In a standout performance, Magomed Magomaev won Junior Russian Nationals over returning junior world medalists David Betanov and #14 Amkhad Tashukhadziev and beating Kamil Dalgatov in the finals. Magomaev debuts in the rankings at #18 while Tashukhadzhiev falls four spots to #18. Debuting in the rankings at #5 is #16 (74) Nikita Suchkov of Russia who won the Siberian Federal District over #10 Dmitri Zainidiinov. Suchkov has past wins over Zaurbek Sidakov, Frank Chamizo, Atsamaz Sanakoev, Radik Valiev, Adam Khasiev, and Musa Baziev so he more than deserves that spot.

86 KG

#1 David Taylor teched U.S. Open champ Myles Martin at Beat The Streets. Ashkab Saadulaev beat Alik Shebzukov in the junior Russian national finals. Russian nationals 5th place finisher Alexander Kondratov finished 1st place at the Siberian Federal District.

92 KG

Returning junior world champion #18 Alan Bagaev notched another junior national title with a Ramazan Shabanov in the junior Russian national finals. Yuri Ivanov won the Siberian Federal District over Abdulla Badrygov.

97 KG

#3 Mohammad Mohammadian of Iran was moved over #2 J’den Cox because while ox may have a prestigious 86 & 92 KG resume, he lacks the wins to support him behind ahead of Mohammadian who has dominated the likes of Kyle Snyder, Vladislav Baitsaev, Aleksandr Husthyn, and Bo Nickal while Cox’s most appreciable win at the weight could be #1 (92) Alireza Karimimachiani who had a top 10 placing back in 2018 when he pinned Magomed Ibragimov to win the Asian Games. Winning Junior Russian Nationals was 2018 110 KG Cadet world bronze medalist Sergey Kozyrev over Ali Aliev. Taking gold at the Siberian Federal District was returning Russian national runner-up #14 Igor Ovsyannikov against Erik Dzhioev. Returning world bronze medalist #4 Kyle Snyder competed successfully at Beat The Streets where he beat Michael Macchiavello. #8 Nurmagomed Gadzhiev (AZE) has been arrested and imprisoned for being involved in a shooting in Dagestan and has been removed from the rankings. Returning to the rankings at #20 is Bo Nickal of the United States.

125 KG

3x Age Group world champion Gable Steveson was dominant in his tech fall win over 2019 All-American Trent Hillger at Beat The Streets. Winning Junior Russian Nationals was Alen Khubulov who took gold in a field that included 2019 Russian Nationals 5th place finisher and past top 20 ranked Atsamaz Tebloev. Taking gold at the Siberian Federal District was Ostap Pasenok who upended 2016 Russian Nationals Champion Mukhamgazi Magomedov.

P4P

Some important changes on the lower half of the top 10. Geno Petriashvili of Georgia occupies the #5 spot after his fantastic run throughout the quad that saw him take home three consecutive world titles and twice defeat 3x World/Olympic champ #13 Taha Akgul. 2x 57 KG world champion Zavur Uguev takes the #6 spot over J’den Cox and David Taylor because of the superior depth of the 57 KG weight class to 92 and 86 KG. Cox over Taylor over Yazdani Charati based off of head to head wins over each other. And the only other change here for this month is the re-addition of Bajrang Punia (IND) to the rankings at #24 and the removal of 97 KG world runner-up Sharif Sharifov.
