#1 Zavur Uguev won his third straight world title at the Individual World Cup with a 10-0 domination over 2019 61 KG European champion Arsen Harutyunyan (ARM). He keeps his top domestic and international ranking. Winning the Mindiashvili tournament at 57 KG was Kezhik Seden of the Tuva Republic over Tumetey Metke of the Tuva Republic. Darkhan Ignatiev of the Sakha Republic and Nachyn Mongush of the Tuva Republic took bronze. No changes domestically occurred from the results of December.

61 KG

#1 Abasgadzhi Magomedov won the Individual World Cup title with a 5-1 win over 2016 world bronze medalist Akhmednabi Gvarzatilov (AZE). 

2020 Junior national champion Fedor Baltuev of Irkutsk won the Mindiashvili tournament over Petr Konstantinov of the Sakha Republic. Bronze medalists at the Mindiashvili tournament were Kezhik Mongush of the Tuva Republic and Russian nationals bronze medalist #8 Zhargal Damdinov of Buryatia. For his title at the Mindiashvili, Baltuev returns to the rankings at #8, taking the spot formerly held by Russian nationals bronze medalist Zhargal Damdinov.

#1 Gadzhimurad Rashidov’s chances at a second consecutive world title were cut short due to a loss to eventual bronze medalist 3x world champion Haji Aliyev (AZE) in the round of 16. Because it was not a domestic opponent and also due to an injury, Rashidov does not fall in the rankings. Taking gold at the Mindiashvili tournament at 65 kilograms was Aisen Potapov of the Sakha Republic over Peter Pavlov of the Sakha Republic, bronze medalists were Sayin Kazyrk of the Tuva Republic and Erdem Sharastepanov of Buryatia. There were no changes to the domestic rankings as a result of the action that occurred in December.

70 KG

#1 Cherman Valiev injury defaulted out in the Individual World Cup semifinals and bronze medal match to take 5th. Because like Rashidov he didn’t lose to a domestic competitor and also suffered an injury there is no change to his spot in the rankings. Winning the Mindiashvili tournament was 2019 Dan Kolov bronze medalist Viktor Rassadin of the Sakha Republic over #5 Arpak Sat of Krasnoyarsk. Taking bronze at the Mindiashvili tournament was Nikita Zhargalov of Buryatia and Ildous Ginyatullin of Tatarstan. Rassadin slots in at #5 for his win over Sat, while the rest of the bottom half of the top ten fall one spot with #10 Imam Adzhiev dropping out of the rankings. Adzhiev beat Rassadin in the round of 16 of Russian nationals.

#1 Razambek Zhamalov won the Individual World Cup title with a 4-2 win over 2x world champion Frank Chamizo (ITA). Taking gold at the Mindiashvili tournament was #8 Nikita Suchkov of Krasnoyarsk over 2019 Korkin champion Nadirbek Khizriev of Krasnoyarsk. Taking bronze at the Mindiashvili was Buyan Tsyrenov of Buryatia and Ayub Abregov of Krasnoyarsk. There were no changes in the domestic rankings from the action that occurred in December.

#1 Akhmed Usmanov won the Individual World Cup in dominating fashion with a 10-0 technical superiority victory over 2016 Junior European champion Muhammet Nuri Kotanoglu (TUR). Winning the Mindiashvili tournament title was #8 Dmitri Zainiidinov of Krasnoyarsk over Semen Tereschenko over Krasnoyarsk. Taking bronze at the Mindiashvili tournament was Mikhail Boganov of Khakassia and Buyanto Shadapov of Buryatia. No changes occurred in the domestic rankings as a result of the action from December.

#1 Dauren Kurugliev won the Individual World Cup title with a 5-1 victory over Ziolkowski runner-up Zbigniew Baranowski (POL). Taking gold at the Mindiashvili tournament was Azret Ulimbashaev of Krasnoyarsk over Turpal-Ali Eldarov of Tatarstan. Bronze medalists at the Mindiashvili tournament were Dmitry Ekimenko of Kemerovo and Matvey Ekomaskin of Novosibirsk. #5 Akhmed Gadzhimagomedov flipped spots with #6 Vladislav Valiev because I reacted to hastily to Gadzhimagomedov’s win over #9 Soslan Ktsoev who had beaten Valiev last year at the Alans when Valiev had won a European title and taken bronze at nationals.

#1 Alikhan Zhabrailov won the Individual World Cup title in a rematch of his 2019 world bronze medal match against Georgi Rubaev (MDA) with a 6-0 victory. Nurgun Sergin of Krasnoyarsk won the Mindiashvili tournament over #10 Yuri Ivanov of Irkutsk, Tsedash Dugarov of Buryatia and Ivan Kirilov of Kemerovo took bronze. Nurgun Sergin enters the rankings at #10 after beating #10 Yuri Ivanov in the finals of the Mindiashvili tournament.

#1 Abdulrashid Sadulaev won the Individual World Cup via an injury default over 2019 European runner-up Aleksandr Hushtyn (BLR). 2019 national runner-up Igor Ovsyannikov of Krasnoyarsk won the Mindiashvili tournament over #5 Maxim Tolmachev of Krasnoyarsk. Finishing bronze at Mindiashvili tournament was Nikita Akulinchev and Lopsan Sambu both of Krasnoyarsk. Ovsyannikov returns to the rankings at #4 for his win over #5 Maxim Tolmachev.

#2 Shamil Sharipov beat European championships runner-up Robert Baran (POL) 4-1 to take gold at the Individual World Cup. 97 kilogram R nationals bronze medalist Erik Dzhioev of Krasnoyarsk won the Mindiashvili tournament over Denis Sedives of Tuva Republic. Vladimir Kalashnikov of Krasnoyarsk and Shota Kortiev of Irkutsk took bronze at the Mindiashvili tournament. No changes to the domestic rankings occurred as a result of the action of December.
